The final newsletter from USABLE PACKAGING - Issue 3 Autumn 2023 - is now out, providing you with the latest updates on the project’s progresses and successes, notably significant advances in producing PHA from food processing by-products and the manufacture of bio-based frozen bags.
The USABLE PACKAGING project has proven the concept that by -products from food production can be transformed into compostable packaging and other products. The results of the project, delivered over three years and led by Spain’s Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC), will be presented to stakeholders and the public during the Ecomondo Expo in Rimini, Italy, in November.
